Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Sandersville Police Department is responsible for investigations of criminal activity within the city and arresting offenders for violations of state laws and local ordinances. The Criminal Investigation Division is lead by Capt. Ken Parker under the direction of Police Chief Victor Cuyler.
Captain Parker holds several instructor certifications which includes: general firearms, defensive and taser. He supervises general investigations, case file perparation, court appearance of subordinate investigators, as well as manages confidential informants, files and pepi.
The Criminal Invetsigations Division was established to solve crimes via the processes of questioning victims, witnesses, and suspects, accumulating physical evidence at the scene of a crime and by tracing stolen property or vehicles associated with a crime. The responsibility does not culminate here, for it is necessary that all facts and evidence be compiled and presented to the District Attorney's Office for possible filing of charges against a suspect(s). The ultimate goal is to prove beyond any reasonable doubt, in a court of law, that the suspect in question did commit the specific crime for which he is charged.
Detective Pauline Roberson and Detective Brian Dudley are both CID Detectives under Captain Ken Parker.
